The Missing Dialogue Recreated

Some kindly soul on YOUTUBE has used the original script and recreated all of the missing Monster's dialogue that was shot, but chopped out.

I never knew that there was so much dialogue! I thought it would be just a few lines!

I wish they would've kept that dialogue in. It would've made the Monster feel more relevant to the plot (as it is, he's pretty incidental and seems to be present just for the sake of it). It also would've made things more interesting.

I was against the idea of Ygor's brain being placed in the monster's body, but I really liked the dialogue and contrast between the monster who wishes to die versus the monster who wishes to live forever. The omission also creates some continuity snags because the monster in subsequent films is clearly not Ygor. So I guess that retroactively never happened even if the rest of the events of that film did.

Instead of muting the dialogue, I feel like they should have dubbed in a hushed whisper. The monster is supposed to be sick and weak anyway. That would have been eerie. And, despite explaining everything else that happened in the previous two films, it seems like the monster's brain transplant isn't alluded to in the finished dialogue or the excised dialogue. No wonder audiences laughed at the accent. I'm sure the test audience never saw Ghost of Frankenstein.

Would you have imagined a thick Hungarian accent from the monster?
