New version of for whom the bell tolls

Ive readed it yesterday - thing is as I imagined it i had a feels of great mix of the movies like great escape , indiana jones and a really great romance-drama. If i would see someday a new wersion it would be like that :
Diretor - Steven spielberg (the shootout drama from the ending of the saving private ryan was very similiar), John sturges or Peter Jackson
Cast:
Sordo - yeah for 100% Mickey Rourke, Steve Mcqueen
or Clint Eastwood , russell crowe or Sean Bean even friggin Robert Patrick could be good
Robert Jordan - 1.Harrisn Ford 2.Sean Connery 3. George Clooney
Pablo - 100% Gary Oldman , ev. Sean Bean
Maria - 100% Natalie portman , cause her match-head automatically popped into my head
Anselmo- John rhys Davies, dot know
Karkow - 1. J.Malkovic 2. Rutger Hauer
Golz - Bruce Willis, James Gandolfini, Nick Nolte
Massard - Nick Nolte

I of course only show potential cast , most of those - Connery , Ford , Eastwood , Mcqueen no longer could play in this movie in that roles

Music - 1.John Williams 2. Bernstein / Morricone

Camera - Janusz Kaminski

I say get some actors of spanish descent or people who wouldn't seem out of place playing a Spanish guerilla. Besides Jordan everyone in the movie is native to Spain. And as for Jordan, Ford and Connery are WAY too old, though I could possibly see Clooney working judging by his performance in Syriana.

er, no. harrison ford? clooney? BRUCE WILLIS! directed by peter jackson?

reply

as i said i meant potential cast. That means i remember harrison ford from the "commandos of navarona" (?) dont reallly remember the title in my laguage it sounded like that - that would be great role. Even if Robert Jordan was Spanish then -Hemingway choosed Gary Cooper who really isnt a spanish neither i remember that he was in the book. Guys - maybe bruce willis is a little off - bu Clooney in his age could be great - i was thinking about role in three kings. Its also quite stupid that they should be played by europeans. For example poles like Golz doesnt differ from the americans cmon people there are no apes ang girrafes in human society, were all quite the same. Peter Jackson showed good performace in king kong despite script was total s... lol i mean i especially typed spielberg.

reply

I'm pretty sure Robert Jordan is supposed to be in his early 20s...not 40s or 50s.

reply

Yes, Jordan was supposed to be a young man - early 20s. Gary Cooper was WAY too old in the first place!

It was just for fun... dont beat me

I think it's time for some Latin and European actors in the appropriate roles.
