this fine film is finally available on DVD through the Universal Vault series...
I guess Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Lucas have finally given the ok for the original inspiration for Indiana Jones to see the light of day...Now all Paramount has to do is release "Secret of the Incas" with Chuck Heston and we will have the two films that inspired the creation of the great Dr. Jones.....oh yes and thank you Universal..
It's been many years since I've seen this film and I just now spotted the DVD on amazon.com. I hope Universal releases more Alan Ladd films on DVD.
shareSECRET OF THE INCAS has just had a legitimate release in Italy under the title IL SEGRETO DEGLI INCAS. Thw quality of the print is really good, too. It has also been available in Spain for two years, as EL SECRETO DE LOS INCAS.
Wouldn't it be a terrific idea to have a boxset with the three biggest precursors to Indiana Jones in one set?
