It appears the theme for the past couple of weeks now has been about " Women in dangerous situations " however it still all had very good classic story lines for these movies just the same .
Thanks Bill-16 for your reply and enjoy the show this Saturday night too .
Acquanetta, "The Wild Woman" was being billed by Universal as The Venezuelan Volcano when this movie was made. It's quite interesting that this actress that the studio was selling as an exotic Latin was born in Ozone, Wyoming in 1921. Some "Venezuelan Volcano!!" 😀
Could be that Universal was trying to turn Acquanetta into their version of RKO's Lupe Velez. Lupe was doing pretty well at that time with RKO's Mexican Spitfire series. 😃😊😉
I live in central Texas and the weather was ~75 degrees today! 🌴 I'm traveling on business to the east coast in a week or so where the temperature is (well, you know).
I sure hope it warms up a little before my skinny a$$ gets there.
Anyway, when you mentioned the snow on the east coast, it made me shiver a little just knowing I'm gonna be in it very soon.❄

I'm from the New England area . At current there is A LOT of snow and no where to put it . So far this has been the worst winter we have had in years and it's extremely cold too . We had two big storms a few weeks ago already and now a third tonight into the next two days ❄ ❄ ❄ . Good thing I'm stocked up in the home here and my heat is working properly too .
So if you do have to be out this way I would suggest dressing in double and triple layer clothing Eddysfitzboy or otherwise rescheduling that trip . It's bad out this way ( example - Stanley Kubrick's " The Shining " 1980 ? without the Jack going crazy part of course - don't mind being indoors myself ) .
Well anyway I hope you are enjoying this movie as much as I am here ? ( only parts that bother me are the way the animals are being treated - otherwise it's a good film )
I guess it really depends on how these actors ( him or her selves ) pronounce their own name to all of us here . ( for example - like on a one to one celebrity interview on TV ? )
On the bright side with it anyway this year I have a few really reliable people who can remove the snow with the proper equipment ( a snow plow truck & one of those TORO snow blowers ? ) . They do a wonderful job of keeping all the important driving / parking and walk way areas clear too . That's a definite plus and luckily there are some corners of yard where the snow can be put but there's a ton of it and it's piled high at the moment . That's why I'm hoping no more storms after this one . Wishing for springtime real soon here .
Just saw it. This was a WILD movie! I really enjoyed it. How many movies have had as many great animal sequences. Those shots of the big cats and the guy working with them were so over the top awesome! Very satisfying.
Not bad though being not a big fan of animal acts (especially the cruel way done back then), half of the movie didn't do much for me. Paula does a lot of staring, her mesmerizing waves controlling the lions and tigers. A bit of a lame ending.
It's stronger plot and otherwise than the sequel, surely. Paula does talk there.
