I watch YDD almost every July 4...
...and feel patriotic warm and fuzzies every time. Plus, Cagney is simply a stunningly charismatic actor and I enjoy him in just about any film he's in.
shareMe, too. I just finished watching and singing along...wish I could dance even a little bit. Of all the 40-50s actors, Cagney's my favorite. There was always something a little dangerous about him, like at any minute he'd explode. That probably comes from his roles in Public Enemy and White Heat, but I just adore him as George M. Cohan. His dancing was just impeccable.
shareYeah, I'm used to thinking 'Cagney = serious Gangster character' so his physical agility was pleasantly surprising to me the first time I saw this.
