I read that George really despised FDR so I was wondering if the scene of their meeting in the White House was fabricated & was fiction?

In the Over There segment, George is shown during WWI entertaining troops in the battlefield in Europe. Did Cohan really travel to Europe with the USO?

I do not think he left the country to entertain troops. He probably just went as far as New Jersey.

I had heard somewhere that Cohan would not pick up the medal in person and after about five years it was sent to him.

He died two years later. He also didn't like Roosevelt.
