A Question Regarding Greenberg

After he played Shylock in the theatre, he was taken away by Nazi officers by his friend Bronski (the fake Hitler). My understanding that they are real officers and that he will be executed. He was the only one from his theatre to die in their scheme.

My question is: could he have left with them on the plane? Any chance that those Nazi officers are impostors? Did Bronski sacrifice his friend so that they could escape?

Thanks for your help.

None of the good guys die in this movie. The two soldiers who take Greenberg away are part of the theatre troupe. Tura (Benny) says to Bronski on the way to the airport that Greenberg will play Shylock again, this time on a stage, not in the corridor. He wouldn't say that if they'd sacrificed the poor guy.

Thanks for clearing that up. It is good to know that they did not sacrificed their friend.
