Hurrah! The DVD is finally out on 1 February.

The quality of the picture isn't great, but at least we now have this masterpiece on DVD. Can't we interest Criterion in doing a Preston Sturges collection?

Well, as we all know by now, Universal put this out in their Preston Sturges box set, 7 of his best. If you buy this set, and get Miracle of Morgan's Creek separately, you've got all you need.

Personally, I would also add the original version of Unfaithfully Yours. Of course, that's a Criterion DVD, so it is relatively expensive.

For anybody on the fence, just BUY IT!

I originally came to this movie at the recommendation of my railfan friends because part of the action takes place aboard a passenger train, and it's a great look into how the affluent and the peons traveled in 1942.

But every time I see this flick I love it all the more and now I'm going to order either this single movie or perhaps the Sturges collection, after further research.

A true gem.
