Claudette was made for screwball comedies

Although a fine actress, she just seemed so much fun in these early '40's screwball comedies. It Happened one night, Midnight to name a couple...I did not care for her in movies like "Boom town", So Proudly we Hail. I felt also that she was miscast as Cleopatra by De Mille.

Rarely saw anything she wasn't suited for, specially screwball comedies. Her voice was incredible. I thought she was very good as cleopatra though -- she could be sultry and sexy when she wanted to be.

Ms Colbert was such a joy to watch in anything, but I did prefer her in comedy.
