Was there a sequel?

There was a second book "Parris Mitchell of Kings Row" so was there a second movie? The beginning of the first book says "Book One".

I think the author was originally intending to write a trilogy about Parris & his life in Kings Row but he died before the second book was completed (it was finished by his wife). There was never a film sequel made and really, what would have been the point? The conclusion of the film pretty much showed what was in store for the main characters in the future. The second book couldn't really have been adapted into a sequel for the film because several characters have different fates in the book as opposed to what happens to them in the film. I am particularly thinking about Louise, Randy & Drake.

Thanks for that info. Just that someone told me there was a film sequel, guess they were wrong.

Maybe they are thinking of the TV series that was made in the 50's?

Thanks for your input. I looked up the title "Parris Mitchell of Kings Row" and nothing comes up, was that series called that or something else?

Oh, I found it under Kings Row. Thanks all the same.
