shareI had to do a double take on that too. Ronnie Reagan's manic laugh and his change of heart....oh now that I know I didn't need it I can be a champion. Really bizarre.
I think it also had to do with his rebellious pride. He never liked Dr Gordon or his "old fashioned" view of life. When he found out that Dr Gordon amputated his legs to break him, his spirit, his will to live. He rebelled against him, that little spark of life, of pride that still remained in him ignited into a blazing fire. His only act of defiance was to laugh to show that he was not beaten like Dr Gordon wanted.
I mean there are only so many ways you can react to that kind of news.
