The worst trailer ever
I rest my case.
shareJust watched the trailers on IMDB --
Just my opinion, but I don't think the "trailer" we saw was meant to be watched all at once. The book was a mega hit in its day -- like Peyton Place was later and Gone with the Wind. Warner Bros was not the top studio in its day, and I imagine buying the book cost a pretty penny. IMO I think they did a lot of short speeches, (actually in the movie) and let them be the trailer -- showing each a different times during newsreels and movies in the day. They just didn't have the money to do a real teaser for a book everyone knew about -- makes sense when you think about it!
Hard enough to stomach one at a time - Ugh.
