Name of the starring inanimate object (car)? [SPOILER]

The car is also a major cast-member, if any non-animated object can be, given its importance in the later part of this story. Does anyone know the manufacturer / make, model, year of the car Bette Davis uses in this great movie? I know Geo Brent states it's a "sports car" - such a large trucklike sports-car by today's nano-standards.
I love those old late 30's / 40's monstrosities, like Packards, Buicks, etc., though one would need to be an oil tycoon in order to run one nowadays on days other than parades, &c, where antique & classic cars make a showing.

I think it's a Buick Roadmaster. Decades later, we get to see Bette and Olivia drive a 1964 Buick Electra in Hush Hush, Sweet Charlote

It is indeed. A 1941 Buick Roadmaster convertible coupe, to be exact. Too bad she drives it off a cliff, but at least she's wearing slingbacks while she does it.

hahaha! And that was some crash too. The explosion and the fire AND they can still pull her body out of the car (seemingly) unscathed.
