How about the other death?

I wonder if anyone wasn't more disturbed by the second death occurring in the film, you know what I'm talking about, the female pheasant who couldn't stand it and decided to fly. I know the death of Bambi's mom is the most traumatic part, but it was a sacrifice, she died trying to protect her son while the bird got killed out of sheer terror and this time, it was not off-screen. The first death is very sad and emotional but the second is quite shocking too, don't you think?

I think the bird's death was more intense

Yes poor bird. I know people normally hunt animals. But I would never in my life even think of killing poor innocent a animals in the forest. It's not like they're threatening us. They're innocent and mind their own buisness. But that's just me!!

I completely agree. The way she was worried really got to me too and made me feel her panic. Plus the music, making it seem like the hunter was coming closer.

I remember being upset by this. Thanks for bringing it up. Great, moving scene.

Yes, that death was (and still is) far more disturbing to me.

As a kid and as an adult, that one shocked me more.

As a kid, the second death disturbed me far more. The bird's panic, then the fact that you actually see the body-- that scared the heck out of me!
