I mean that is just shameful, as this to me is one of the best animation classics ever. So simple, yet so touching..

Bambi is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. It's just so beautiful and much more moving than the majority of their library. It definitely hurts my stomach a little to see it's 7.4 rating when The Lion King somehow receives an obnoxious 8.5.

I know. This will be my favorite Disney movie for all time. It was also Walt Disney's favorite film. I cant stand the new Disney. I despise the way they butchered Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Mermaid and The Snow Queen - (Frozen, ugh.).

Maybe people don't realize that animated films from the Bambi era were all HAND DRAWN AND COLORED, frame by frame! Modern ones are done by computer after the basic ideas are created. Sure, Frozen and Little Mermaid are fine films, but the technology alone (or lack of) elevates early animation, especially Disney's, to unreachable heights. 7.4 for such true art is unbelievable.

I do think BAMBI has better animation. Those grades were for the movies overall.

I do feel anything less than an 8.0 is too low for Bambi.

Can't stop the signal.

The first half is flawless, but I think a lot of people start to lose interest in the second half of the movie. I agree though, should be higher.

What exactly is wrong with the second half? I've never heard this issue before and personally I find the second half brilliant.

They grow up. No more cuteness. 🐰

I'm not saying there is anything wrong with it, I just don't think it's quite as entertaining as the beginning.

I hate to be that person, but if people have issues with this film losing it's cuteness, they are missing much of the film's purpose. People can feel how they want, but I've always felt this film was so much more than "cuteness".
