Quote????????
Anyone know the exact quote Errol says to DeHavilland, right when he's saying goodbye for the last time???
SOmething like, "To walk this life hand in hand with you has been a very gracious thing"
I'd appreciate it.

I'd appreciate it.
"Walking through life with you in hand has been a very gracious thing."
That's exactly it.
It makes me cry everytime I think about it. :(
It was the most beautiful scene Flynn/De Havilland did. Years later, when they had a retrospect of this movie in the 70's, Olivia attended it's showing & when this scene came up, she became emotional & went out to the lobby in tears. She has said in interviews that she felt very sad doing this scene & her depression lasted for several days, but she didn't know why she was feeling that way. She didn't know at the time that it would be the last time she would work with him. But as the years went on, she knew they would never work together again.
shareThat's so sad. :'(
shareYou are correct. Every time that I watch this film and I hear that line it makes me realize just how special these 2 actors were together.
It also makes me think of my wife and how that line fits perfectly in a description of my marriage. If that scene doesn't get to you...better ask yourself why...WHAT A FANTASTIC SCENE.
