Colour or Black and White

Because I've seen in Colour 10 years ago.

Hillary Rodham 2008 because she is worth less

Hitchcock directed this film in Black and White. And it was released in 1941 in Black and White. Turner colorized the film around 1980s. And many people disliked the colorized version.

These old films, particularly by true masters of the craft like Hitchcock, were made in such a way that take full advantage of the black-and-white limitations. If filming in color had been an option, directors would have shot things in different ways, lit scenes differently, etc. That's part of the reason that these colorizations generally look so terrible. These films are designed to be in black-and-white and to look beautiful. It's A Wonderful Life is one of my favorite movies of all-time and someone gave my family a copy of the colorized version for Christmas about ten years ago. I watched about 15 minutes of it before I had to shut it off. It just wasn't right.

I too prefer the black and white versions. The scenes were carefully planned, and to me, colorization ruins those efforts. I especially like the scene where Lina is in the foyer, and there is a shadow on her and the entire room which looks like a giant spider web.

Colorizing is an abomination. When someone creates a work of art, it should be left as the artist intended. Imagine going the other way and taking the color out of Star Wars.
