Game with Letters?

I caught this movie about half an hour or so before the end last night, and was curious what game they were playing with the letter tiles. It seemed like Scrabble but there was no board. Is that what it was?

reply

The Game is called Anagram.

thanks!

No Problem. What did you think about the film?

reply

well the little bit of it that i saw (caught it close to the end) i really enjoyed. i've really started to appreciate the older black and white films more and more, they were able to use things like dialogue to move things along as opposed to nudity, swearing and violence. what a concept, eh?

I actually like old films especially from Alfred Hitchcock, Frank Capra, Ernst Lubitsch, Billy Wilder, and Henry Koster. I am sure you will like Alfred Hitchcock's other films like Psycho, Vertigo, North by Northwest, Rope, and other Hitchcock films.

As for Comedies, I actually pick Arsenic and Old Lace 1944, Harvey 1950, To be or not to be, The Shop around the Corner, Ninotchka, Stage Fright, Charade, and The Awful Truth.

unfortunately i haven't seen the last 5 on your list. love hitchcock though. i'll have to add them to my netflix queue when i have room. going through a 'horror' phase right now.

not sure if you're a cary grant or audrey hepburn fan (everyone ought to be, in my opinion) but 'roman holiday' was on Turner Classic Movies (increasingly becoming one of my fave channels) the other night and it was great.

one of my other favorite b&w comedies (and it was on again just the other day) is 'the apartment' with jack lemmon and shirley maclaine. such snappy dialogue.

I have seen roman holiday. Its a great film and great performances from Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn.

I always wanted to watch The Apartment, because I heard lots of great things about this film.

Topper was pretty good, too.

It's kinda like Boggle.
