Was anyone else bumfuzzled that Johnnie would even attempt to unbutton
the blouse of a woman he barely knew. Right outside of a church?
Weren't audiences shocked or disturbed by this back then? It's shocking to me now! I'm pretty sure, even back in the 40's, that was considered sexual assault.
It really bothered me that Lina would have wanted anything to do with Johnnie after that. I find it appalling that any woman would find this, along with all his other antics, the least bit charming.
Times were different, but jeez.
