When will Columbia release an 'official' DVD?

I love this movie (I think it's one of the ultimate tearjerkers), but all of those "public domain" DVDs obiously use fuzzy video masters and are never more than "just acceptable." Please, please, PLEASE will someone at Sony/Columbia finally release a DVD that is mastered from an official theatrical print.

I own it on DVD, but I think its a copy put out by what you called "public domain".

The quality is pretty good, but the picture tends to move and the sound is pretty good.

I'll take what I can get away with. If they actually do a remastered DVD printing, I'm sure I'll purchase a copy of that too.

I want this title remastered and restored too. Maybe they'll do it if Sony does another Cary box set.

I wish they would restore ALL of Irene Dunne's movies, she was great, but Republic has a remastered color VHS. I have the DVD, it's great!
