shareBut he still seemed sophisticated anyway--I think that's the best thing about Cary Grant, in all the roles I've seen him in, no matter how different they may be, he always seems very suave.

That was the time when people (especially men) dressed a lot more fashionably and formally than they do today. Most of the men wore suits on a daily basis even if they had a blue collar job or were unemployed. They went to sporting events in suits, lounged around their own homes in a suit, and traveled in suits. They never seemed to go out in anything casual.
