The Crash

Several things about the plane crash I found hilarious especially some of Moreland's lines, like when he thinks the drums in the distance is his heartbeat. Or when John Archer who plays Bill Summers tells Moreland "thats no ghost C'mom", Moreland replies "I Caint my feet done took to root". But what I find amusing is none of them with the exception of Mac played by Dick Purcell is in the least bit dishevled or has a hair out of place and Purcell only has a scratch on his forehead that may need a bandaid. They all look like they arrived ready for a wedding. And the crash itself looks like it was quite serious.

Not to mention that special effects back then were so bad that when they DO crash we only see the aftermath and before that its a fade out from when they are about to crash. I like the movie so far though. Especially Jefferson's character in contrast to the other leads.

The plane sure looks like a Lydecker Bros. model, in fact it looks just like the one that turns up at the end of 1942's "Flying Tigers" with John Wayne.
Did the Lydeckers do some of their model magic for Monogram?

And about the crash aftermath, I thought it was just a bad edit, but in fact I guess it was just the non-budget!

The plane was a big twin engine like a DC3, yet only has one pilot and two passengers.
" I think I can put down right here, in the jungle"?
