Funniest part of the whole movie?

I personally thought the funniest part of the whole movie was the scene with the moving candle and Costello's facial expressions to that scene

I love this movie, which is Abbott and Costello's best, especially the scene at the gas station, where Costello keeps asking Moose Matson if he wants any oil, over and over again!

Wonderfully atmospheric too.👻

I also consider this to be my favorite A&C movie and it's one of the first movies I've ever seen by them, I also loved the scene where Costello was constantly asking Moose if he wanted oil over and over again and Moose getting annoyed with it was priceless!

I also liked the scene where Costello throws Abbott's bag and it lands on the bus that was going in the opposite direction!

Costello's "scared" faces were one of the main reasons why the pair went on to make other thriller-type comedies. I think one of the funniest moments in the movie is when the "ghost" is behind Lou and Joan Davis right after the candle bit. Their "Uh-oh" when they realize that each hasn't been slapped by the other is hilarious. One thing about Abbott & Costello was that they weren't too egotistical to share some of the limelight in their films with other great comic talents.

Those are all great, I especially love the WHOLE part with Costello and Camille from the candles and the map and everything, 'You TOLD me to watch that candle!' 'Don't believe me, I'm a liar!', and 'I'll find the road out of here if I have to MAKE one'. LOVE it.

n the furniture keeps flipping from regular furniture to gambling tables and roulette wheels on Lou and Bud doesn't believe him.

Who wouldn't love to have a room like that!

Hands down the funniest scene is the dance scene between Lou and Joan. However, the scene with Joan explaining the fanged creature at the top of the stairs comes in a close second.

This is the funniest Abbott and Costello movie, and my absolute favourite!

I always lose it when Costello says, "I was playing Chu-Chu Train!" Other highlights would be the moving candle scene, Lou and Joan's dance, Costello slipping the sheets "under" the matress, Lou losing Bud's luggage, the gags in the opening nightclub scene, the entire gas station scene, and the "Twain on Twack Twee!" Definitely one of their best.

It's all hilarious but the dance sequence with Lou is tops.

And I love his "Oh Charlie" in the basement lol.

My brother and I have always found music in a funny scene only adds to the humor. So for him and I the funniest part has to be the part when the "ghost" jumps in bed with Costello. When he turns and sees him and he doesn't say anything and that music just builds up as he gets ready to run away.

The candle scene by far, but love the whole movie.

Oh also the entire figure of speech dialogue gets a special shout-out also since it isn't mentioned here.

Funniest part of the movie is when Lou is pulling the money out of the Mooses head and Bud keeps pulling his pants --- Lou says at least 3 times --- Don't touch my pants --- stop pulling my pants --- I laugh my arse off every time I see that scene ---

And even use it as a call sign to my buddy who loves the movie too --- Hey Jason DONT TOUCH MY PANTS !!!
