Warsaw Concerto

The memorable "Warsaw Concerto" featured in this film was composed by Richard Addinsell who wrote the wonderful music heard in the 1951 version of A Christmas Carol (titled "Scrooge"), also directed by Brian Desmond Hurst. I have not seen this film, but would love to. I suspect that Addinsell came up with a brilliant score for this film as well as others.

When I saw this film recently at a film festival of war flicks in Frickerville Minn. they said that for this release Arnie Sucksdorf's "The Scurrilous Sonata" was used.

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.

I feel the opening bears more than a resemblance to Grieg and then the first section to Rachmaninoff,
