Citizen Kane is a quasi-biographical film about the newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst. The movie captured photos of the Hearst Castle, the pool, the zoo, etc. Remember Patty Hearst, who was a member of the SLA, was his granddaughter.

It was obviously Hearst to many today back in 1941 virtually every American knew. WRH was still alive and just 62 years old and if they didn't use an alias surely he would have used the living hell out of them.
