Wabash Indiana
Does anyone know how they happened to choose Wabash?
I also wonder why, if they were going to use a real town for FM home, why didn't they use a real town for BS home town......
I wondered the same things when I watched the film last night (I have seen it before, but don't remember the thought then).
Possibly it is because Barbara's character has such an unpleasant experience there; if it was supposed to have happened in a real town, it would give that town a bad reputation (ie being unfriendly, etc.).
Of course Fred M.'s family is so fun and loving, it no doubt made people in Wabash look at the movie with pride.
