Three Reasons Why Women Have An Affair

I wrote a short essay (450 words) on The Letter (1940) called "Three Reasons Why Women Have An Affair."

A central theme in the film is that a married woman who is idle and has an absent husband is more likely to cheat.

If you would like to read it, I am open to any helpful feedback:

Well done. But as a woman who at one time entered into an extramarital affair, I would have to add a sense of lost youth and desirability, especially if they feel that they're not getting that validation from their husband. But then, that ties in to the theme of neglect that you cited.

Thank you. I appreciate your comment. And yes, there are certainly other reasons why women have affairs. I just focused on the three things I noticed in the film.

Have a great day!

Revenge on the cheating spouse, is another, although not in respect to The Letter.
