Mistake? High school in Manatu, Ill. AND Philadelphia @ the same time?

In the scene of Kitty's first date with Wyn, when she is wondering why he took her up to NYC, instead of somewhere in Philadelphia, she tells him the story about "when I was going to high school in Manatu,Illinois, if a fella wanted to take out a girl and he didn't particularly care about being seen with her, he always took her up to Chicago". Just a few minutes earlier, she is 15 years old (high school age) and going out to see the socialites attend the Philadelphia Assembly? How was she in both Pennsylvania and Illinois at the same time? Or are we supposed to believe that she was raised in Philly, lived there until she was 15 or 16, then moved to Illinois -with her sickly practically bed ridden father, for a year or two and was back in Philly... and the same exact house, by the time she was 18? (That's how old she was when she met and went to work for Wyn.)

I was just coming here to comment on that! I think it's some kind of a continuity goof. I didn't realize she said high school. I thought she just said "growing up". So I was thinking that maybe she spent her early childhood in Illinois, and moved to Philly as a teenager? But what little kid notices things like where a man takes a woman if he's trying to hide the relationship? And the implication at the beginning when she says pop brought her up on Griscom St, is that she grew up there the whole time. At least, that's how I take it when someone says they were "brought up" somewhere. I'm glad I wasn't the only one that saw that. You want to add it to the goofs?

Done!! I noticed this the first time I watched this movie, over 20 years ago, and it's always really bothered me. It's such an obvious continuity error.
