So, Who Did He End Up With? (spoilers)

I missed the end of the film, and I would love to know who Walter Pidgeon's character ended up with, the mom or daughter. I can assume who it was, but I want to know for sure. Let me know? Thanks.

That's a good question- this film has one of the most confusing endings I've ever seen. Deanna is playing a nun at the end and crying while everyone else looks overjoyed.

Maybe she's crying because she's in love with her new stepdaddy. Or maybe because she was played for a complete fool through the entire film. I'd cry too.

I am confused too. Did she really join an order of nuns? Well she did say she was through with men, once their engagement was announced. But joining a convent is taking it too far! Maybe she hooks up with a cute priest on the sly! Just kidding!
