Best news I've had (so far) this year . The picture quality of Disney's re-issued classics on Blu-Ray has been amazing, but with Fantasia the audio quality is even more important. If ever a film deserved an uncompressed PCM soundtrack mastered from the original work parts this is the one!

I would like to think it will be released in October 2010, since that is a month before its 70th anniversary (Nov. 1940) But it all means nothing if Deems Taylor's voice is not on the Fantasia release (unlike the DVD release 10 years ago) I have to say though, I'm not that worried since the trailer was very reassuring.

I can't wait for this. I've been wondering for years if it was released on DVD and I'd missed it. But it looks like I've never found it because it hasn't been there. I hope we don't have to wait until October or November.
