DESTINO a Blu-Ray only bonus feature?

We've had several false announcements that DESTINO would be coming to DVD from Disney, only to have the release repeatedly canceled. Now it's exclusive to Blu-Ray? Another clever marketing move from the House of Mouse. (And could that Blu-Ray promo featuring "Zack" and "Cody" that shows up on a number of Disney discs possibly be any more lame?) I already had the earlier three-disc release of FANTASIA/FANTASIA 2000, and planned to pick up this new release just for DESTINO. No need to bother with this version now.

Not only is it only on Blu-Ray, but according to what I gather, it's only in the /4-pack/ which has BOTH DVD and Blu-Ray of both movies. Why would you buy that? Ugh. What I care about is mostly just the original film, though, so I got the DVD-only edition.

Clearly, Disney is very antsy to get you to upgrade to Blu-Ray and, in the process, sweep old DVD under the rug.

Yes, and it would fit perfectly well with that premise if they included it in the Blu-Ray edition. But apparently in order to get Destino, they want you to buy the box that has BOTH FORMATS of both movies in it. That's what I don't understand why I should have to buy. If I don't have a Blu-Ray Player, then I don't want to spend money on Blu-Ray discs. On the other hand, if I DO have a Blu-Ray player, then why would I want to buy a box of Blu-Ray discs with the same f'kin movies on DVD in it, too? To use the DVDs as appetizer plates if I have guests over to watch the Blu-Ray version with me?
