Does anyone enjoy this NOT on acid?
I just experienced this yesterday, heard it was perfect trippin'. Although I can't imagine anyone liking it sober? Such a long winded introduction.

shareNever dropped acid. Still love the film. I do skip the Deems Taylor introductions occasionally, though.
shareIt saddens me that so many people cannot enjoy and appreciate the beauty of this film whilst lucid.

I can assure you that the vast majority of the people who have seen it and enjoyed it over the past 70 years were NOT on acid whilst doing so.
Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.
Having watched it sober AND while on acid, I'd say it's good both ways.
Acid makes you see it in a much different way, and because of the animation styles, the colors, the music, etc, it IS a perfect movie to watch while on hallucinogenic drugs. There's a good reason Disney re-released it in the 60s with a psychedelic poster.

Just watched it a few weeks ago after some bong hits and I loved it. After Rite of Spring it got a little...not boring, just calm and I fell asleep and had to finish it another day, also high. Haven't seen it since I was a kid, loved it then too, and I was quite sober in those days.
Dude, you can't just hit a drum, you hafta beat the sh!t out of it!
