Great effects, poor casting and soundtrack
I found the effects still look good all these years later, but man, that cast, with the exception of Dekker, are awful. The three shrunken men, Coley, Kilian, and Yaconelli, treated the film more like a comedy than anything. The soundtrack didn’t help at all either, again being more appropriate for an Abbot and Costello flick than a terrifying adventure. It’s like the director couldn’t decide between humor or horror, so tried to do both.
