Batman comic about (Dr Cyclops)
There is a Batman comic from 1949 (made under suprvision by creator Bob Kane), where Batman and Robin are investigating the disappearance of a banker. The only clue they have are tiny footprints on his desk.
Outside something happens to them and they wake up as tiny people in a bird cage. The kidnappers are mad professor Zero and his gangster help Beefy. They blackmail the banker by miniaturizing him. The professor wants Batman and Robin dead, but Beefy has a soft heart. Our heroes escape and try to free the banker and other captives. Professor Zero shoots his useless help Beefy. Then he tries to crush the superheroes and kill them with a rifle. Batman uses pepper and a fan to blind the professor, who trips and shoots himself. After three days all the tiny people grow to their normal size again.
Like many more older Batman comics, this was obviously inspired by the movie Dr Cyclops. Some other films plots Bob Kane used were King Kong, Black Friday, Creature From The Black Lagoon, and a dinosaur film (either Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, Dinosaur! or Gorgo).
