First science fiction film in color?

One of the unique distinctions for this picture is it's a color film that was shot in 1939, I think, making it unusual for a movie of its subject matter. Was Dr. Cyclops the first science fiction film in color?

Georges Méliès A TRIP TO THE MOON from 1902, was hand-colored. However that print was considered lost until it was rediscovered in the 1990s. For years, people only saw the b/w version.

DR. CYCLOPS may have been the first sci-fi shot in Technicolor. Can't think of any others prior.

MGM's 1929 version of The Mysterious Island was shot in 2 strip technicolor but it is thought that only black and white prints survive.

A two-color Technicolor print of The Mysterious Island (1929) was found several years ago and was presented in Italy at the Pordenone Silent Film Festival in 2014. Doctor X (1932), which can be considered a science-fiction film, was also filmed in two-color Technicolor. I think Dr. Cyclops can safely be considered the first science-fiction film made in three-strip Technicolor.

Thanks for the info, I love when films are found and/or restored.
