i don't really understand why they called the movie "Ringo - Höllenfahrt nach Santa Fe" in Germany. I always thought they were going to Lordsburg (and not to Santa Fe).. Anyone who can explain?

It's simply wrong. The whole title was worded this way, to make it sound more spectacular. Also, Santa Fe was (and maybe is) more popular with Europeans than Lordsburg, and it is frequently associated with Western stories.
