A Movie That Must Be Seen Twice

I just got done watching this movie for the first time, and I already know I'll be revisiting it sooner than most. I can't say I was blown away by it, but I did enjoy it, and it certainly cast a spell on me I can't really describe. On a baser level: the scene where one of the servants is asked to "end this farce, immediately!" and the servant replies, "which one, sir?" Hilarious.

What's the spanish for drunken bum?

It's a movie I can see over and over, and I always find something new in it to pore over.

8 1/2 eh? I hope so - I saw that one for the first time recently and I was a little underwhelmed by it. Same with La Dolce Vita. Although I loved La Strada and Amarcord first time out.

Really good, though I'll have to give another viewing with Criterion quality.

I loved La Dolce Vita and 8 1/2 from the get go. Marcello Mastroainni is a master of acting. Both films also made me really like Fellini.

Fun side note: His hand & foot prints are in front of the Chinese Mann's Theatre, one of the few foreign stars on it.
