Gin Buck
When Eddie and Panama go into the speakeasy behind the paint store, she orders a Gin Buck. I had never heard of it, but it is basically gin with ginger ale plus some lime or lemon juice.

I do like to research different phrases and word usage from movies in the 30s, 40s and 50s. It's fun.
Note the term "gilpin' that is used a few times early in the film which i think means somebody who is inexperienced and naive.
