Mr. Smith Goes To Washington inspiring Carl Barks???

This is crazy, but first thing I thought when watching this film, was how much it resembled a Disney story by Carl Barks. I feel characters and the plot are Disney-like: The boy scouts (Woodchucks); "Doggone"-cursing; the reading of the entire constitution without sleeping, in the end fainting and falling flat to the floor; the moral of the film etc. Anyone felt same?

That apart, it's a great movie. Stewart does some incredibly good acting. 9/10.
