This movie has one of the best collection of great character actors of any movie
Superb actors- Thomas Mitchell, Edward Arnold, Eugene Pallett, Charles Lane, Guy Kibbe and my favorite Claude Rains.

Claude Rains is wonderful in this I agree, one of my very favourite performances of any actor and my favourite of his even though I love a lot of his movies (Lawrence of Arabia is tops with me).
The rest of the cast is wholly endearing, they all do a great job being a little silly but still completely convincing. I can't think of one weak performance in the whole lot, and I have to add that Jean Arthur is lovely.
