In all seriousness, disregarding the OP's possible stupidity, it is true. Why did Capra make the same movie again? A winning formula, yes. Original, no. A bit early for a "remake" and not really a sequel.

I know there was talk about making this a sequel to Mr. Deeds, but Gary Cooper was unavailable to reprise his role. Why not just wait until Cooper was available for what would likely have been a big moneymaker for the studio?

you mean Capra should sue Adam Sandler's unfunny ass. Sorry, but if anyone ripped anyone off it was Adam Sandler who decided to ruin a couple of rather decent Capra films with a remake which is yet another reason there should never be remakes of cinematic classics.
