Amy Poehler? The resemblance is astounding!

(And yes, I know it's the other way around.)

I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

At first I was like NOOOOOOOOO. But I tried to see it, and now I see the hairline, haircolor, maybe the startling eyes. Oh, and they're both successful with comedy. Not a bad connection, but obviously they're not dead ringers. Well, and then there's something around the mouth. Yeah, okay.

No offense, but Amy Poehler is hardly successful at comedy.

No offense taken, and I hope you take no offense that I disagree. Poehler is extremely successful at comedy. She's the only thing worth watching in the silly "Baby Mama", she's had a long career on SNL, the park ranger sitcom, and multiple silly comedic movies. What I think irks us about the comparison, is that the two actresses are so completely different. Poehler seems to only shine in comedy, whereas Lombard was also a dramatic leading lady with a legendary face.

I accidently caught the film 10 minutes after it started this morning Nov 4 on TCM, In the first scene that I saw Carole L after the car accident at her door..I said to myself...wow...she looks like Amy Poehler. During the movie, I was looking up the details on IMDB and came across your heading. Even BEFORE opening your message, I said to myself...BET they're going to mention Poehler !!! Right,

I see very little resemblance. Carol Lombard was both beautiful and cute, Amy Poehler is very average looking.

I am an Amy Poehler fan, and while i would not say she is merely average looking, Carole Lombard was far more attractive.

I think Lombard was absolutely stunning & had a rather ethereal quality about her.

I agree. I think Lombard is an attractive woman. In fact, that was one of the things she had going for her; she didn't look like she could be funny but she was. She was great at subtle humor and had range. She was probably best known for her screwball comedies but, as we see in this movie, she could pull off other types of roles including serious ones.

In my opinion, Poehler looks like a comedian; by that I mean she naturally has an odd and funny-looking face. For instance, I can't imagine Poehler playing a romantic lead; something Lombard definitely could and did do.

I don't really know who Amy is.
I'm Carole Lombard fan & read three biographies about her. She helped people all the time, one was a man that lost his leg in an accident & Carole insisted he be behind the scenes doing job ( I can't remember what his job was) among many others.

Both Caucasian women, both blonde. At that point the resemblance ends.
