Will there ever be a decent dvd copy of this film?

There has been a region 2 version of this film available for several years and as most know the quality is pretty poor. Are there any plans by Universal to put out a decent version of it? They now own the rights I believe and it would be great if they could put this out ,perhaps even in a box set with some of their other Old house mystery's

I just went to a screening of the movie that used a new 35mm print that Universal struck (no scratches, etc. at all). Maybe this is a sign that a DVD release is in the works?

Well, does anyone know if Universal has released the new DVD of the film. It is considered a classic and I would love to purchase it so I can view it.

it gets released on june 8th of this year.

In addition to Cat, two other titles will be making their DVD debut: Thanks for the Memory (1938) and Nothing But the Truth (1941). Paulette Goddard fans will also be happy as she stars in Cat and Nothing But the Truth.

The 3-disc set will also contain 3 re-releases: Ghost Breakers (1940), Road to Morocco (1942), The Paleface (1948).
