Yep, strangely topical, wasn't it? Hope was referring to the mid-terms of 1938, but he might as well've been talking about 2014.

Too funny. I recorded this about 3 weeks ago and just watched it this afternoon (Election Day 2016), and it was a better joke than it would have been on any other day. Probably any other Election Day.

I don't know it this can be considered a coincidence, but it was humorous nevertheless.
