shareOh boy, I'll say you are.
When the Kirbys and the Sycamores are in jail, Grandpa Vanderhof tells Mr. Kirby that he ought to stop worrying about all his business deals because if they all fell through, it could be the best thing that ever happened to him. "Maybe it'll stop you trying to be so desperate about making more money than you can ever use? You can't take it with you, Mr. Kirby. So what good is it? As near as I can see, the only thing you can take with you is the love of your friends."
It is a money.
shareAnd as we all know, having more money than you'll spend won't do you much good because when your time comes, "You can't take it with you". I reckon, like Grandpa said, what you CAN take is the love and memories of your friends.
share^^Novastar put it perfect. it means there's no use getting tons of money by being a jerk and backstabbing people and then getting your own buildings and fountains that spurt pure gold because in the end when you die, what do you have? Objects that ultimately mean nothing.
"I know you're in there, Fagerstrom!"-Conan O'Brien
in the end though, can you even take the love with you? maybe you cant take anything, in which case there's no use in anything.
shareNo pockets in a shroud and so on...
shareWhat matters is what you also leave behind...how much love and good deeds you've left when you pass away. Also I think the moment you're dying, if you can still think rationally you mut prefer having felt loved than having felt rich
shareIndeed, money is something of which there can be copies and copies and copies printed up everyday and you'd never know the difference in one bill and the next, but you ALWAYS know the difference between one person and the next and the next in the people you've met and the love exchanged between you and your family.
