My thoughts (spoilers herein)

This was an engaging work by Hitchcock. Within the middle of the film, the viewer is not sure what to think - did Iris imagine the old lady sitting across from her, or are other people just fooling her? If they were fooling her, why would they do this? Those questions linger long in this film and provide the key area of interest. Unfortunately, it took a little while to build up to this. Acting by Margaret Lockwood was very good, and the character of Michael Redgrave ends up redeeming himself after a very obnoxious entry. The ending part of the film did seem to drag out a bit long, and the resolution was not as satisfying as The 39 Steps. Overall a fairly good Hitchcock film but not as compelling as some others.
