This is an excellent movie and I particularly thought Tommy Kelly was sensational as Tom. I think Kelly is probably the best male child actor of the 1930's although he didn't get many other major opportunities.
shareI agree. Tommy Kelly was PERFECT as Tom Sawyer. By far a great child actor with both comic timing and emotional acting. Jackie Moran was also brilliant as Huck Finn.
I remember watching 'Gone with the Wind' and shouting 'That's Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn!' I couldn't belive it.

I agree. Tommy Kelly did a good job playing Tom Sawyer. It is sad that he wasn't in very many movies. I think that he made the best Tom Sawyer.
