Just saw this again after many years, the "restored version". I liked it better years ago, seemed overlong and very dated now. Maybe the world has changed a lot and these kind of fables just don't work anymore. Could not wait for it to end...zzzzzzzzzz.

Name one movie made 80 years ago that isn't dated.

Seemed like the restored version was worse and overlong. Especially the ending where we get to see his two companions slowly die of exposure over endless scenes of snow and ice...ugh.
