Marcia Mae Jones as Rosalie

One of the things that's outstanding about this film is that the child performances were so good. Personally, I thought Jones really sells the character and makes what could have been an awkward presentation of the story quite viable.

I agree with TMIO completely; Marcia Mae jerked the heart-strings of any viewer who was ever terrified as a child of some sort of "truth" coming out, or who has been bullied into behavior that he/she wouldn't have thought of doing, ordinarily. Being under the thumb of anyone, as a child or an adult, is a terrible burden to endure. Marcia Mae was a natural actor, no doubt about that, though my family and I had to plug our ears when her terror became very vocal!!

I believe I saw her interviewed on Turner Classic Movies with other child stars like Dickie Moore. Did you see it?
