DVD cut scene??

I saw this film on YouTube and it had a scene in it that was adorable. I rented the movie the next day on DVD and the scene was cut. I even watched it twice to make sure. The scene was as follows:

After Irene kisses Godfrey, she follows him to his bedroom where he lectures her about the impropriety of a servant/employer relationship.

Gone from this DVD. Anybody have a clue as to why? And is this scene included on the new DVD?

I believe this is one of those "public domain" movies that turn up in several questionable editions.

But try to get hold of the Criterion release, which has excellent picture/sound quality and is complete, including the scene you mention.
